Healing Space

Låt oss bada i healingens vibrerande härligheter!

Sweat lodge with Tim Jago

Turn to face the fire and you will melt, and flow. Turn to face fear and you will find peace. Turn to face death, and you will be truly alive.

SvetthyddanFor the festival, we welcome an ancient ceremony: the Sweat Lodge. The ceremony can be found in indigenous peoples all over the world, but perhaps is associated primarily with North America’s native peoples.

Outside the lodge, a fire is lit, where the stones are heated. When the stones are hot enough, the participants sit down forming a circle inside the sweat lodge and the hot stones are placed in a pit in the center. The leader puts herbs on the stones and then pours some water with sage over them. Good smells spread and a soft warmth wraps around the participants sitting together in the dark.

Tim JagoWe get a visit from Tim Jago, who has held sweat lodges in Sweden for more than 20 years. He has worked with Kundalini yoga, studied in the Living School of Mystery with Derk Loeks, and is a member of the Qadiri-Rifai sufi group.

A tracker, a gardener and a poet, he can often be met at Solhälla, at the Space of Love on Öland or sitting by a fire in the forest.

A celtic sweatlodge is a journey through darkness and into light, it is a tool for transformation on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. The process takes about 4 hours and you should bring a bag for your clothes, a towel for outside the lodge and a towel or sarong for inside the lodge. A water bottle is useful.

Ögonblickets ceremoni och Medicinresor med Siv Stefansson

Siv StefanssonSiv – She with Many Names – Stefansson. Siv will hold the Moment Ceremony and Medicine Journeys at the festival. Look out for her and her husband Stephen’s tipi at the festival! Here you will also find Draknyckeln: a market and meeting place. With selected Recycled & a bit New, crafts are created when the spirit strikes.

Siv is a Quaker who follows the mystic’s path. In the loving discipline of silence and stillness. From this core of stillness and this silence she weaves threads of life within a genuine trust in the Original Source. The one we all have within us. Without a script, from the core, she holds the circle for the integrity and security of the group and the individual.

With the drum, rattles and the Primeval Song she embraces and acknowledges life as it is.
With Primal Power as Nature herself, she speaks of the life that makes everything new in each moment, everything for remembering, everything to recognize and embrace the true nature we all are.

Times for Medicine Journeys will be informed at Draknyckeln on the spot as well as in the program. Siv will also inaugurate the festival site along with all of us – more info follows!

Journey in our subconscious with Bernt Andersen

bernt-andersenBernt Andersen visits the festival and with the help of drums takes us in a journey in our subconscious. Drum journays will happen at the Draknyckeln tipi, info about times as well!
